Victor Osimhen Transfer Saga: Arsenal, Tottenham, and Al-Hilal Linked

Transfer news

Arsenal and Galatasaray have engaged in discussions regarding the availability of Victor Osimhen. These talks occurred amidst conversations concerning Galatasaray’s interest in Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri from Arsenal.

Reports indicate that Arsenal is open to receiving offers for Gabriel Martinelli and Ethan Nwaneri. The London club has also held discussions with Galatasaray about potentially selling various squad members to the Turkish side during the current transfer window. One report suggests that Galatasaray made a bid of £38.4 million for Gabriel Martinelli.

Osimhen’s name was reportedly brought up during these negotiations between Arsenal and Galatasaray. It remains unclear whether Arsenal or Galatasaray initiated the discussion about Osimhen.

Osimhen’s market interest

Separately, Al-Hilal reportedly made a verbal bid of €130 million for Victor Osimhen to Galatasaray. This offer was made by an intermediary on behalf of the 21-time champions of Saudi Arabia. However, Galatasaray has indicated that they are not willing to negotiate and have no intention of entering talks regarding this bid.

Al-Hilal’s interest in Osimhen is linked to the earlier departure of Marcos Leonardo, who joined Ajax for just under €20 million. Leonardo had been a significant player for Al-Hilal, scoring 48 goals and providing 5 assists in 82 official matches.

Osimhen officially became a Galatasaray player a year ago, following an initial loan spell from Napoli. Galatasaray signed him permanently for €75 million. The Nigeria international striker is under contract with Galatasaray until mid-2029.

Before the recent discussions involving Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur was linked with a potential move for Osimhen. One report suggests that an offer might be enough to persuade Galatasaray to sell the player. Osimhen has previously expressed a desire to play in the Premier League, stating that playing in one of the top five leagues is an amazing feeling.

During his time at Napoli, Osimhen was regularly linked with a move to Chelsea. He has stated his commitment to working hard to achieve his dream of playing in the Premier League someday, viewing it as a process.
