The iconic Reverend and The Makers will launch a pop-up shop at Meadowhall from May 8 to May 10, 2026, celebrating their new album, “Is This How Happiness Feels?” This exciting event will not only feature exclusive merchandise but also spontaneous performances that capture the essence of the Sheffield music scene.

Fans can expect a unique experience as the pop-up shop will offer signed copies of the album alongside a limited Sheffield edition vinyl. Darren Pearce, the center director at Meadowhall, expressed his enthusiasm: “It’s brilliant to welcome Reverend and the Makers back to Meadowhall. They’re a huge part of Sheffield’s music scene, and this pop-up gives fans a really special chance to celebrate the new album.”

This three-day celebration coincides with an ongoing conversation about regional pride, especially in light of recent awards acknowledging Yorkshire’s beaches. As of 2026, only 15 beaches in England received Brown Flags for cleanliness, with Yorkshire ranked 12th out of 19 coastal counties for clean bathing water.

Despite some beaches like Scarborough South Bay being named among the dirtiest in England, Bridlington South Beach has shown improvement. Currently, 52% of Yorkshire beaches boast excellent water quality compared to 68% across England.

Jon McClure from Reverend and The Makers is thrilled about the pop-up: “We’re buzzing to be doing a brand-new pop-up shop at Meadowhall. Think three days of music, mayhem and madness – come down and be part of it. Grab the new album and support our chart push!” This reflects not just excitement for their music but also an invitation for fans to engage with their local culture.

The event promises to be a vibrant mix of community spirit and musical celebration—one that echoes the rich tapestry of Sheffield’s artistic landscape. As fans prepare for this special occasion, they can look forward to an immersive experience that goes beyond just shopping; it’s about connection.
