Off-court developments
Former Wimbledon finalist Andy Roddick is set to return to the tournament this year, joining the ESPN team for broadcast coverage. Roddick, who was a three-time finalist between 2004 and 2009, has largely stayed away from the sport since his retirement in 2012. This will mark his first time covering a Grand Slam for a television network in over a decade. Roddick, who is an honorary member of the All England Club, has been preparing for his role by consulting with others experienced in sports broadcasting.
Meanwhile, Barbora Krejčíková, the 2024 Wimbledon champion, is currently on court against British player Hannah Klugman. Krejčíková is leading 6-1 in their match.
